Customized ferrite magnets
Ferrite magnet is a type of permanent magnet made mainly from SrO, BaO, and Fe2O3 as raw materials. Compared with other permanent magnets, ferrite magnets are hard and brittle, with lower magnetic energy. However, they are not easy to demagnetize or corrode, and have a simple production process and low price. Therefore, ferrite magnets have a high output in the entire magnet industry and are widely used in industrial production.
Ferrite magnets are sintered permanent magnet materials composed of barium and strontium ferrite. This type of ferrite permanent magnet material not only has strong demagnetization resistance, but also has the advantage of low cost. Permanent ferrite magnets are rigid and brittle, requiring special mechanical processing techniques. Due to its orientation along the manufacturing direction, its opposite sex magnets need to be magnetized along the chosen direction, while its same sex magnets can be magnetized in any direction due to their lack of orientation, although slightly stronger magnetic induction is often found on the smaller side of the compression surface. The range of magnetic energy product is between 1.1MGOe and 4.0MGOe. Due to its low cost, ferrite magnets have a wide range of applications, from motors and speakers to toys and handicrafts, making them currently the most widely used permanent magnet materials.
Characteristics of Ferrite Magnet MaterialsPermanent ferrite magnets are produced using powder metallurgy methods, with low residual magnetism and low recovery magnetic permeability. High coercivity and strong demagnetization resistance make it particularly suitable for use as a magnetic circuit structure under dynamic working conditions. The material is hard and brittle, and can be used for cutting and processing with diamond tools. Ferrite permanent magnet materials are oxides, so they are not easily corroded. Working temperature: -40 ℃ to+200 ℃.
Ferrite magnets are divided into anisotropy (anisotropy) and isotropy (isotropy). The magnetic properties of isotropic sintered ferrite permanent magnet materials are weak, but they can be magnetized in different directions of the magnet; Heterogeneous sintered ferrite permanent magnet materials have strong magnetic properties, but can only be magnetized along the predetermined magnetization direction of the magnet.
Physical properties of ferrite magnets
In the actual production of permanent ferrite magnets, raw materials with good chemical composition may not necessarily obtain permanent ferrite magnets with good performance and microstructure, due to the influence of physical properties. The physical properties of the listed iron oxide include average particle size APS, specific surface area SSA, and bulk density BD. As iron oxide accounts for about 70% of the manganese zinc ferrite magnet formula, its APS value has a significant impact on the APS value of ferrite magnet powder. Generally speaking, the APS value of iron oxide is small, and the APS value of permanent ferrite magnet powder is also small, which is conducive to accelerating the speed of chemical reactions. However, considering that the fine powder particles are not conducive to subsequent pressing and sintering, and are prone to crystallization, the APS value should not be too small. Obviously, when the APS value of iron oxide is too high, during pre firing, due to the large particle size, only the diffusion reaction of spinel phase can be carried out, and further grain growth process cannot be carried out. This will inevitably lead to an increase in the required activation energy during sintering, which is not conducive to solid-state reactions.
